WHITNEY VAN DE VELDE, BMR-PT
PHYSIOTHERAPIST / OWNER
Whitney grew up in Crystal City and attended high school in Pilot Mound. She played various sports throughout high school including both girls and boys hockey. After graduation she attended the University of Manitoba and completed her Bachelors of Medical Rehabilitation in Physical Therapy in 2011.
Whitney has been employed with the Southern Health-Sante Sud Regional Health Authority since 2011 and is part-owner of South Central Physiotherapy (2017).
Whitney is married with 4 children and lives on a farm with her family near Mariapolis, Manitoba. Whitney continues to play and coach seasonal recreational sports in Swan Lake, Mariapolis and Pilot Mound and enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Whitney has additional training in vestibular therapy and acupuncture.
CANDIS MOORE, MPT
PHYSIOTHERAPIST / OWNER
Candis grew up in Cartwright, Manitoba where she was very involved in sports and athletics. Candis played with Team Manitoba Girls Baseball, Pembina Valley Hawks Hockey, and Junior Hockey in Winnipeg. Candis graduated high school in Cartwright and went on to continue her education at the University of Manitoba. She graduated in 2013 with a Bachelors degree in Kinesiology and in 2015 with a Masters degree in Physical Therapy.
Candis has been employed with the Southern Health - Sante Sud Regional Health Authority since 2015 and is part-owner of South Central Physiotherapy (2017).
Candis is married with two children and lives outside of Pilot Mound, Manitoba. She continues to enjoy playing hockey, golf, baseball and spending time with her family.
Candis has additional training in pelvic floor physical therapy.
JULIE MEDWED, MPT
PHYSIOTHERAPIST
Julie is originally from Dauphin, MB but has been living in Crystal City for the past few years. She graduated from the University of Manitoba with her Kinesiology degree in 2014 and her Masters in Physical Therapy in 2018.
Julie is recently married (2021) and very active and passionate about weight lifting, golf and physical activity in general. She continues to educate our community and improve her skills as she is continually taking courses and increasing her knowledge.
Julie has additional training in pelvic floor therapy and has acupuncture certification.
CARLA HILDEBRAND
OFFICE ADMINISTRATION - PILOT MOUND
I am Carla Hildebrand of Mather, I was born & raised in Pilot Mound. I have worked in Pilot Mound almost my entire life & couldn’t love the people & opportunities that are in this amazing community more. I have 2 daughters, 14 & 17 years old who both enjoy hockey in the winter & lake time in the summer at our seasonal campsite at Pelican Lake. My husband Chris farms with his 2 brothers while I am absolutely loving my new administration position at South Central Physiotherapy in the Pilot Mound office. I look forward to learning alongside the professional and talented women that are part of this small town business.
JACKIE VAN DE VELDE

I am Jackie Van De Velde from Mariapolis. I am originally from Pilot Mound and love our rural communities and the wonderful opportunities they provide. My husband Daniel and I grain farm alongside our four children aged 15,13,11 and 9. When we aren’t at rinks or gymnasiums all over the province with our kids sports, we enjoy camping, lake time, skiing, snowmobiling and travelling. I began working at South Central Physio in the fall of 2021 at the Swan Lake location. This ever growing small town business continues to amaze me. These wonderful ladies provide such a great service to our communities and I’m proud to be a part of this business team.
